As you may have noticed, I have a new logo and I am beyond excited! As much as I love using online photo editors/graphics creators, I felt that I needed to be 100% me when it came to my brand design. There are unlimited options while using most online tools, however many bloggers in a niche have similar styles when it comes to those free branding tools. This sent me on a journey to finding a logo that would be uniquely me- quite literally since it is a drawing of me.

I had a vision in my mind of making my blog simple, classy, but obviously expressive of my personality. I wanted to incorporate my favorite colors, name, and a fun illustration into a logo that would represent my presence as a blogger. Since I am not artistic, I decided to work with an artist to create something amazing. After some research, I discovered Mariale Ramirez of Moda Illustrated and became obsessed with her work. A quick email exchange and she agreed to help me turn my brand vision into a reality!

To start this process I told her what I had in mind including colors, style, font, and general design ideas. I let her use her creativity to design my logo and she put together something I loved! Mariale sent me five slightly different versions of my design and left the final decisions up to me. This was honestly one of the hardest decisions I have made so far as a blogger because I loved all of them! The drawing of me is so adorable- she even incorporated my favorite Kate Spade bag into the illustration! Below is one of the full illustrations, along with a slightly edited version that I’m currently using as my blog header.

I am so thankful to Mariale for creating something so lovely. Mariale sells her prints in her Etsy store, all for affordable prices! If you had something in mind that you don’t see, she does custom illustrations and will do her best to bring your illustration idea to life. If you’re looking for a logo, gallery piece, or accessory with a customized illustration on it, I highly recommend working with Mariale. She’s not only a talented artist, but a wonderful person who I’m so glad I have worked with! You can check out her site at, or check her out on Instagram!
