I noticed that although this was a shortened work week, it seemed like it was never going to end. Not that I want to start this blog post off on a pessimistic note, it’s just that I felt like a lot happened in a short period of time. Not all was bad, to be honest most of it was good. Sometimes just being busy in all aspects of life can be exhausting, so I am definitely excited for the weekend!
There definitely were some amazing parts to my week, some I will share with you in this weeks edition of Currently Loving, and some that I will be sharing at a later date because for now it’s a secret. (a very, very exciting secret!)
Summertime Vibes // I know it’s only the beginning of June, and that it’s technically not summer yet, but the fact that the weather has been so nice recently is giving me major summertime vibes. Unfortunately, yesterday and today have been a little chilly, but i’m holding onto last weeks warmth and highly anticipating next weeks warmth. It’s been so nice taking the puppy down to the beach, going out for ice cream, and having extra long days.
LIFE: It Is What It Is // The latest book that I read is called LIFE: It Is What It Is by Lisa Sugarman. I met Lisa at a local event where I actually bought her book that night (it’s a signed copy!) She is a local columnist from my town, which is essentially a little bubble, so everyone can relate to things on a central level. This book is a collection of her columns that tackle life’s everyday quirks in such a way that it truly does feel like you’re just having a conversation with a friend. The one thing I will say is that I’m not a parent yet, so some of the things were foreign to me, though in a way made me excited for what’s ahead in life. Fun fact: the book is priced at $16.49 because it’s the year our town was established!
It’s definitely a fun read if you’re looking for something to read this summer!
Turning Old into New // As you can probably see, in the sidebar of my blog I am selling some of my old clothes on Poshmark. I recently went back through my stuff and discovered a jacket from LOFT that I liked, but never really wore, and it’s brand new. So I decided to give it a go and style it, and I actually love it! It’s always nice to go through what you already have and try things on again. It’s good for closet clean out, as well as finding old gems that you want to keep in rotation.
This jacket is no longer available, but I linked some similar lightweight styles below!
I’m also super excited to be going to the Rue La La x Cotton event in Boston this weekend- who’s going?! Be on the lookout for a blog post about that early next week!
